For the Chicken:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
For the Garlic Parmesan Sauce:
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ cup heavy cream
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
Prepare the Chicken:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear the chicken breasts for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Transfer the chicken to a baking dish.
Make the Garlic Parmesan Sauce:
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
- Add Parmesan cheese and stir until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
Bake the Chicken:
- Pour the garlic Parmesan sauce over the seared chicken breasts in the baking dish.
- Sprinkle the top of each chicken breast with grated Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
Garnish and Serve:
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley (optional).
- Serve hot with your favorite side dish.
