Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground Italian sausage
  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 1/2 cup chopped pepperoni slices
  • 1/2 cup chopped cooked ham
  • 2 cups marinara or pizza sauce
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 3 cups cooked rotini or penne pasta
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley or basil for garnish

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Lightly grease a 9×13 baking dish.
  • 2. Cook sausage and ground beef in a skillet until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • 3. Stir in marinara, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, red pepper. Simmer 5 mins.
  • 4. Add bacon, ham, half the pepperoni. Stir and remove from heat.
  • 5. Combine meat sauce with cooked pasta in a bowl.
  • 6. Layer half pasta mix into baking dish, then half the cheeses.
  • 7. Add remaining pasta mix and top with rest of cheese and pepperoni.
  • 8. Cover with foil. Bake 20 mins. Uncover and bake 10–15 mins more.
  • 9. Garnish with parsley or basil and serve hot.

  • Make ahead and refrigerate up to 24 hours.
  • Swap pasta for roasted cauliflower for keto version.
  • Store leftovers in fridge up to 4 days.
  • Freezes well for up to 3 months.
